The prosecution has started an investigation into a possible
criminal acts of a senior Amsterdam municipal official. The municipal council was informed by this by
Mayor Eberhard van der Laan. The
official has been suspended. In the last
four years, 32 cases of fraud and corruption in the Amsterdam municipality have
been uncovered. The Mayor has a result of
