The general security service AIVD reports that at least 70
Dutch children are currently living in territories controlled by the Islamic
State. The report, titled “Life at Isis:
The Myth Unravelled,” says that on the average, five Dutch Muslims join the
Islamic State every week. The AIVD
writes that it is not uncommon for combatants to participate in executions,
torture and rape. Children are exposed
to bombings and are forced to attend public executions and witness severe
corporal punishment.
