company in Norway is extremely worried about the situation in Rotterdam. It has
now fired the Director of the Dutch subsidiary. After head office declared that
they take security extremely seriously, they could not explain why in the
Netherlands its subsidiary had so many failures in this field. In the meantime,
two opposition parties claim that the Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb (Labor)
has failed because he had assured the municipal council in June that the
situation at Odfjell was safe. In reality there were huge risks before the
facilities were shut down.
