More than 60 Wounded During Panic on National Memorial Day


During the main ceremony of National Memorial Day on the evening of 4 May in the central square of Amsterdam, a man shouted out during the two minutes of silence. Panic broke out and 63 people were wounded, many of whom broke their legs. The person who shouted has been arrested and is a homeless who has been convicted many times for theft, violence and drug related crimes. Fritz van Straelen of the Justice Department says that the person gives the impression of being unstable.
