Dutchmen are More Insulting on Websites than Other Europeans

The daily Trouw claims that Dutchmen are more insulting in their reactions on websites than people of other European nations. Claudia van der Laan, head of the firm NoviaFacts, says that her staff read all reactions to articles in the largest Dutch daily, the Telegraaf (8-15,000 per day). She says that normally speaking 30% of the reactions are censored. However, if the article is about Geert Wilders, leader of the Freedom Party (PVV) or non-western immigrants, 90% are so coarse and discriminatory that even allowing for extreme freedom of speech, only 10% can be put up on the site.
